    I thought the sativa strain ( hemp) was a native species. maybe they brought it here in order to further the goal of a homegrown ( no pun intended , heh ) Navy. In any event, I don't see how you could get high on that schwag.

      Where did you come across this " fact", High Times Magazine? Lol. Sorry dude, it just sounds dubious. I'm certain they grew hemp for fiber for rope, necessary for ship rigging, however, crediting George Washington with being our country's first stoner, is, well, a stoned idea. If you have proof of this, reputable and multiple sources, I will publicly stand corrected.
